On May 22, the Pioneer Living came to Hollingworth Elementary School in West Covina. The hands-on museum allows students to experience life as a pioneer. Some hands-on activities included laundry, shaving, bracelet-making and panning for gold. These activities supplement the reading students completed in class as part of the fourth grade Social Studies curriculum. A presenter explained the various activities and answered questions the students had.
